MTS Link, Kontur.Tolk, Trueconf and Yandex Telemost have overtaken Zoom and Microsoft Teams in the videoconferencing services ranking. Russian projects are gaining audiences faster than foreign ones are losing them, but for now this business requires investment

"MTS Link" (developed by MTS), "Kontur.Talk" (SKB Kontur) and Trueconf (Truconf) became the leaders in the rating of cloud video conferencing platforms in terms of stability of operation, according to a study by J'son & Partners Consulting received by RBC. These products scored the maximum number of points when testing desktop versions - 98, 95 and 91 out of 100, respectively. All showed a stable connection and high quality of audio and video.

In addition to stability, user experience was assessed: connection speed, clarity of the interface, the presence of additional functions, etc. The final result is the sum of points for different parameters.

The desktop version of the Teams service from the American Microsoft scored 89 points. A similar result was shown by the Yandex service, Yandex Telemost. Another popular foreign service, Zoom, scored 86 points. The same result was shown by the products SberJazz (developed by Sber), DION (T1 group) and VK Teams (VK).

When testing mobile applications for video broadcast quality, the leaders were Kontur.Tolk and MTS Link (5.4 points out of 6 each), as well as Zoom (5.3). When the Internet was unstable, the leaders in terms of performance were the mobile applications MTS Link (28.6 points out of 30), Kontur.Tolk (27.4), and Yandex Telemost (26.1).

Earlier, J'son & Partners estimated the volume of the Russian corporate communications market in 2023 at 81 billion rubles. Analysts at this company predicted that this figure would grow to 164 billion rubles in the next five years. At the same time, sales of Russian video conferencing systems should increase to 44.5 billion rubles by 2028, compared to 9.8 billion rubles in 2023.
