This was stated by the digital attaché of the Russian Trade Mission in China, Yevgeny Sukhanov, atwebinarMinistry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation "Needs of China's Target Markets" on September 25. According to him, in the sphere of industrial software, Russian systems for automated design, production, engineering analysis, information modeling technologies in construction, as well as software for product life cycle management may be in demand on the Chinese market.

is foreign. The largest azerbaijan whatsapp number databa se projects of Chinese engineers still rely on the developments of industry leaders from the USA, Germany, France and other countries. Heavy-duty CAD and PLM systems, microelectronic design systems (EDA - a software product that helps design electronic systems using computers) are in demand on the Chinese market," said Evgeny Sukhanov.

According to him, the industry difficulty in promoting Russian IT products is the maturity of the market and high competition; the development cycle’s dependence on European and American solutions, which has been established for decades, plays a role: the largest engineering bureaus in China still rely on ANSYS Fluent, Abaqus, and STAR-CCM+ products.

"Another difficulty for Russian vendors is caused by persistent attempts by Chinese design centers to obtain the technology or personnel of a Russian development company, but not the final product," the digital attaché emphasized.

China's GDP reached $17.889 trillion by the end of 2023. The digital economy permeates all sectors at 43% of GDP among economic sectors. Industry and trade have the largest share of GDP - about 32% and 10%, respectively. At the same time, manufacturing accounts for 26.2% of GDP.

The communications, software and IT services market in China turned out to be almost 20 times larger than the Russian one. Despite the small share of China's GDP in the IT sector - only 4.4% - the value of this industry reached $780 billion. For comparison, in Russia the IT sector amounted to $40 billion at the end of last year.

The second priority niche in China, according to the digital attaché, is the market for robotic systems: foreign solutions account for 48% of industrial robot sales in China, and despite active import substitution, Russian manufacturers of educational and medical robotics have prospects.

"The form of supply may be the export of development services or the export of technologies, services for the development of system software, IP blocks for new ecosystems formed around Chinese ARM microarchitectures and operating system kernels. Chinese companies have been acquiring them for over a decade. This niche is highly promising," explains Evgeny Sukhano
