The number of First Outpatient Clinic Visits (EPB) shows the maximum number of patients visiting a hospital. In order to determine the significance of social media for patients, the number of followers on the hospital's social media platforms per EPB of that hospital was calculated. At the UMCs (with the exception of UMCM ) and two STZ houses, this ratio is greater than 10%. Apparently, the use of social media in communication is already more common here.
Logos-top-3-hospitalsThe UMCN presents itself as the most active hospital on social media with a total of 120 points. Directly followed by the Maxima Medical Center (112 points) and last year's winner, the UMCU (96 points). Number four vietnam mobile phone number list follows at a distance with 73 points. Conclusions and advice
Below are the main conclusions and our advice for hospitals in 2014.
The use of social media in the curative sector continues to increase, as does the implementation in hospital processes and patient communication. This requires a carefully considered communication strategy .
The increase in the number of social media contacts shows that more hospitals have implemented a starting vision, strategy or interaction tactic regarding patient communication via social media. However, this is not yet fully utilized .
Social media are still too much of a stand-alone channel for hospitals, as we found hardly any postings that enticed readers to take the next step. In the complementary role of social media as part of the communication mix, this channel should contribute to four criteria: reach, engagement, activation and conversion .
Things to doEnough 'things to do' for 2014
Looking back, we see many opportunities that remain untapped. Opportunities in the area of knowledge gathering about the target group, in the area of effectiveness and efficiency and in reputation and 'damage control'.
We hope to see many improvements in 2014, particularly in the area of the integration mentioned above.
