Over the weekend, website owners shared their results of changes in their website traffic. In particular, there was an active discussion on the WebmasterWorld forum . This is a resource for website administrators to share knowledge about managing, promoting, and developing websites.

Let's share some of the feedback.

"With the start of a new major core update, sales disappeared, although traffic increased significantly."
"Yes, it looks like a recession. Advertising revenue for November is also at a record low. The drop in traffic is coupled with a decline in RPM (Revenue Per Mille). Money is being spent on spammy sites created by artificial intelligence."
"Today is a significant drop... -40%."
"Yes, there's a big drop today. It looks like Google wants to secure usa business email list a share of the pre-Christmas sales."
“We’ve seen growth since the update began. Yesterday (the first full day of the update, if I’m not mistaken) Google unique visitors were up 53% and Google pageviews were up 85% compared to the same day last week.

Among our top 100 pages, about 90% showed growth, with no spikes caused by external events or major media mentions. The traffic growth was evenly distributed.

Today’s numbers are also good. However, it’s too early to draw any definitive conclusions. Even if the improvements continue, I don’t expect a return to the “golden days” before SGE, when Google traffic started to decline in late 2022.”
From November 11th to 13th, traffic increased by about 10% compared to the previous week (although it is still 80% lower than the peak figures 15 months ago). However, yesterday's traffic fell back below last week's levels. Just when things seem to be starting to improve, reality hits."
