ANDWe are used to social media allowing us to connect with people beyond our physical barriers and make global relationships. However, not all of them work under this pretext, as is the case with Nextdoor . This is a social platform focused on hyperlocalization and that seeks to foster closer relationships, allowing people from the same neighborhood to meet each other .
Nextdoor, the app to connect with your neighbors
The startup Nextdoor, born in 2008 in the United States brazil number data and officially launched in 2011, arrived in the Spanish market in 2018 with the premise of generating a social network of neighbors to build a community , where they could communicate news, issues and problems involving a specific sector. The app is available for free download for iOS and Android .

Nextdoor defines itself as “the place where neighbors meet, where we welcome newcomers, where we exchange recommendations and find out what’s going on in the neighborhood. Where we support local businesses and associations.” The app also seeks to create a sense of closeness among its users by stating “here we lend each other tools, give away things we don’t use or sell a sofa.”
