ANSA has launched its observatory on artificial intelligence , a channel entirely dedicated to innovation, highlighting the opportunities and challenges this technology presents. The observatory was created with the intention of building an in-depth and precise narrative about this world and this innovation .
The Artificial Intelligence Observatory works by initiating and establishing collaborations with universities, research centers, and public and private institutions engaged in the study, research, and development of AI-based technologies . Partnerships already underway include those with the Minister for buy bulk sms service Technological Innovation and Digitalization; JournalismIA, a project dedicated to studying the impact AI is having on journalism, managed by POLIS (a think tank at the London School of Economics and Political Science); the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT); the E. Piaggio Research Center at the University of Pisa; the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the National Research Council (CNR); and the Digital Transformation Institute.
The Artificial Intelligence Observatory was created to build on and enhance the experience gained by ANSA journalists with the first edition of the conference entitled “ Augmented Journalism – The Future of Information in the Age of Artificial Intelligence ” (October 2019).
The relationship between publishing, journalism and AI is, however, only one of the topics on which the Observatory will focus its attention, expanding its story to include areas and economic sectors in which the application of new technologies based on “ machine learning ” is having a more profound impact: from the food industry to the automotive industry, from homes and cities becoming “ Smart ” to the functioning of social networking platforms such as Facebook or Instagram, right up to healthcare issues.
