The world of social advertising is strongly influenced by the developments of this year. But what will 2021 bring for advertisers, marketers and creators? In this article I describe 7 trends that you should not miss.

A brief look back at 2020dependent on the unexpected developments of 2020. For phone number library example, there was a sharp decline in CPMs on social media around March/April, due to a decrease in competition. We also saw a sharp increase in user activity on social media due to (among other things) working from home and the partial lockdown . Strangely enough, the influence of COVID-19 on market leader Facebook turned out to be limited. Even in the disastrous second quarter of 2020, Facebook saw growth , unlike Google, for example. And that while, in addition to the corona crisis, there was also the well-known advertising boycott . That too could not shake Facebook.

2020 was also full of discussions and developments in the field of privacy and transparency in social advertising. These discussions have created an irreversible trend in which we see that the user is increasingly coming to the fore. And (the call for) regulation is increasing, as I described in my previous article on the social media trends for 2021 .
