You are the co-founder of Cartloop. For those who don’t know yet, what do you do at Cartloop?
Cartloop is a conversational SMS marketing platform. We help brands recover abandoned carts by sending SMS messages to their customers in real-time. That’s what we do in a nutshell.
So if I understand correctly, this is for Shopify business owners, like people who have their online store on Shopify. And you're giving abandoned cart recovery a totally different approach.
Yes. We are available on the Shopify app store for Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants. It is actually a fully managed service. We have a team of experts behind every conversation and they do all the hard work. What I mean by that is they interact with each customer on a one-on-one basis. and answer any questions they may have.
They are not just trying to convert customers senegal cell phone number list and get a new sale. We are also trying to build trust right from the start. This way we not only increase ROI but also lifetime value and of course, retain customers in the long run.
I mostly get these emails after I leave something in my cart, saying, "Hey, do you still want to buy this?" Or I get ads on Facebook. Is that the most common?
It's actually the same trigger because you're in the cart. So that's the main trigger. But our approach is different because we focus on providing a human touch. So after you, for example, abandon your cart, you have to opt in to marketing and provide a phone number at checkout in order to be compliant. Our experts will send you a message like, "I saw you were buying this product, it's a great choice. Do you want me to help you?" Sometimes we also offer a discount. The advantage is that you, as a customer, can respond and start a conversation, and you can respond at your own pace, when you have time. There's not that pressure, for example, that you would have on a live chat, where you have to wait for the agent to be live or just go back and open the tab again.
And all these steps that are required for other solutions or I don't know, like Messenger marketing, the texts are always super personal. It's very friendly. We try to make it feel like their personal assistant is talking to them on the spot, or like their best friend is walking them through their shopping. We're really trying to bring that in-store experience online.
Yeah, that's good. Basically, it's like having a sales team or a customer support team, or a combination of those two. It's kind of the same thing today behind your shopping cart, but through text.
They assist them throughout their buying journey, offer support
