Security Certificate - Once all DNS servers are updated and propagated with the new website location, install a security certificate (SSL). This can take a while and you really don't have much control over it - so it's best to run your website during off-peak hours.
Backup - Back up your newly launched website now so you have a fresh copy of your new website in case something goes wrong while you're launching it. You'd be surprised how easily you can ruin a newly launched website. From now on, you need to do a manual backup after every change.
Find and replace URLs - If the website was on a local server, there are usually URL paths that need to be updated throughout the website. Use the find and replace tool to update the website so that there are no references to the local development environment and that all references use a secure connection (https).
SMTP - Configure the website to use an official ghana phone number data mail account for sending outgoing messages, usually using an SMTP plugin.
Conversion Testing - Test all forms on your site to ensure that data is being captured and passed on correctly. If it's an e-commerce site, thoroughly test the product purchase process to ensure that payment processing and shipping are working. Also, make sure that all outbound, automated email notifications are being sent to users and customers.
Tagging - Ensure that Google Tag Manager is properly installed on your website and that Google Analytics is running. This will ensure that events such as form submissions or e-commerce product purchases are measured and tracked.
Caching - Verify the cache configuration on the website and clear the cache to keep the website working properly.
Content Delivery Network - Configure a content delivery network (CDN) to increase website speed.
Crawl - Use the Screaming Frog SEO Spider tool to crawl the site again, looking for any errors or other performance issues.
Robots.txt - Ensure that nothing prevents search engines from accessing your site. Since websites are developed on local servers, search engines are usually disallowed from indexing your site using the robots.txt file. Once you go live, you need to ensure that this disallowance is lifted.
Search Engines - Once you are sure that the website is running well, register the website with Google Search Console and Bing Webmasters to ensure it is crawled properly and sitemaps are found.
