Tracking keyword rankings

Post by kexej28769@nongnue »

The best performing pages should ideally still be present on the new site. If for some reason they don't, they should be redirected to the most relevant page so that users requesting them don't end up on 404 pages and the link equity they previously had remains on the site. If any of these pages are gone and not redirected properly, your site's rankings and traffic will be negatively affected.

Benchmarking
Once the launch of the new website is argentina number data , you should benchmark the performance of the legacy site. Benchmarking is essential, not only to compare the performance of the new site to the previous one but also to help diagnose which areas on the new site are underperforming and address them immediately.

If you don’t track site rankings frequently, you should do so before the new site goes live. Otherwise, you’ll struggle later to figure out whether the migration went smoothly or where things went wrong. Don’t leave it until the last minute in case something goes wrong – a week in advance is the best time.

Spend some time figuring out which keywords are most representative of your site’s organic search visibility and track them on desktop and mobile. Since it’s usually unrealistic to monitor thousands of combinations of head, mid, and long-tail keywords, you should at least monitor keywords that are driving traffic to your site (first-page keyword ranking) and have a reasonable search volume (head/mid-tail focus).
