A YouTube error in the 0.01 percent range

Post by asimj1 »

The public boycott is free PR. I have never seen a Baer advert on YouTube, but now I know about it. In addition, companies can communicate their own values. It is unlikely that the brand will be damaged if the advert is shown in a negative context. Internet users know that Baer and Swiss Life do not seek to associate with neo-Nazis and conspiracy china rcs data theorists. However, I hardly believe that any company will leave advertising on Google to its competitors in the long term. In addition, no company will boycott Google completely. That would mean reducing search engine optimisation for a good search result on Google, or programming your own website so that it cannot be found by Google.

Of course it is a mistake when brands are shown in the context of hate videos and Google does everything possible to prevent this. In 99.99 percent of cases it succeeds; Google advertising is sometimes frighteningly precisely tailored to my interests and learns quickly. The cases shown are clearly the exceptions. You have to keep in mind that 400 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute. Every minute! Sorting these videos works well, but not always 100 percent. But if we have learned anything in the digital revolution: the systems and algorithms are constantly getting better.
