Sustainability is a top topic for startups

The vast majority of startups in Germany are not only concerned with their own success, but also want to make a contribution to greater sustainability. Two thirds (67 percent) of founders say that they want to bring solutions to market that ensure greater sustainability. 87 percent are convinced that digitalization can fundamentally make a decisive contribution to greater sustainability.

And three quarters (78 percent) are of the opinion that politicians should particularly support startups that develop solutions for environmental and climate protection as well as resource conservation. More than half (57 percent) also belarus gambling data want more exchange with established companies on the topic of sustainability. This is the result of a survey commissioned by the digital association Bitkom, in which 206 startups took part. "Digitization can make a decisive contribution to ensuring that Germany achieves its climate goals. We need even more unconventional ideas about how innovative technologies can help. Startups are the most important source of inspiration here," says Bitkom President Achim Berg.

However, two thirds of the founders (68 percent) also point out that it is worth taking a closer look, because some startups try to attract attention with the term sustainability without actually having an idea or solution behind it. 9 out of 10 startups (90 percent) have also set themselves the goal of making the work in their startup itself sustainable.
