What online shoppers particularly value about e-commerce is the fact that they are not dependent on store opening hours. This was the result of a representative survey commissioned by the digital association Bitkom among 1,086 internet users aged 14 and over. According to the survey, more than three out of four respondents (77 percent) see the most important advantage of buying online as being that they are independent of store opening hours.

This view is particularly strong among the working generation of 30 to 49 year malaysia gambling data olds (78 percent) and 50 to 64 year olds (83 percent). Around three quarters of respondents (76 percent) also think it is important that they can have goods delivered to their home, and almost seven out of ten respondents (67 percent) say that they save time by shopping online. Three quarters (66 percent) say that the selection is larger on the Internet . 53 percent even think that they can buy products on the web that are not available or are difficult to get in brick-and-mortar stores. Around half of them think that the products on the Internet are cheaper than in stores (52 percent) and that more information is available, such as customer reviews (50 percent).

"Internet commerce in Germany is booming and further major growth is predicted. Internet shopping is quick and convenient - especially because you can shop on the go using your smartphone ," says Bitkom commerce expert Julia Miosga.

For every third Internet user (31 percent), the additional discounts that are often offered in online retail are important. Another important advantage for 28 percent is the right to withdraw from an online purchase. "In most cases, the online buyer can cancel the purchase contract or return the goods within two weeks," explains Miosga. A reason does not have to be given. "Unlike online shopping, the customer has the opportunity to take a close look at the goods before making a purchase in the store. Therefore, there is no general right to exchange goods."
