The owner of the Inoi brand, Sergey Fomin, registered the company in Estonia, the mention of Russia and Belarus disappeared from the company's website, instead the CIS appears. In 2017, the first smartphone on the Russian OS was released under the Inoi brand

The Russian smartphone brand Inoi has left the country, Kommersant writes, citing sources.

According to the newspaper's source, this happened about a month ago. Russia and Belarus are no longer listed on the Inoi website, and the CIS flag is used instead, the newspaper notes.

OOO "Inoy" belongs to the former co-owner of the IT distributor VVP Group (acts as the official supplier of the brand) Sergey Fomin, in early October he bought 100% of the equipment store "Bayon", the trademark of which is registered in Estonia. VVP Group has been operating in Russia since 1993, its main legal entity is "Distribution Center", which now belongs to Irina Sibirtseva. Fomin was its main owner in 2007-2012.

Inoi is still sold in Eldorado, Citylink, and Beeline stores in Russia, the newspaper notes.

The first smartphone on the Russian operating system Sailfish Mobile (later "Aurora") was created under the Inoi brand in 2017. That same year, the Inoi R7 phone was presented to Dmitry Medvedev, when he was prime minister, at the "Import Substitution" exhibition. As Kommersant notes, the brand later switched to budget smartphones on Chinese-assembled Android. It also produces tablets and wireless headphones.

In May, the GS Group analytical center calculated that push-button telephone deliveries to Russia increased by 43% compared to the same period last year. The bulk of push-button telephone imports were provided by three Russian brands: Inoi, F+ and BQ — they accounted for a total of 1.9 million devices.
