MTS stocked up on tickets

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

MTS Entertainment LLC acquired 85% of shares in Ticketscloud LLC (a service for event organizers Ticketscloud). The company expects to strengthen its position in the market, sell more than 11 million tickets for events annually and take more than 30% of the market by the end of 2023. The company did not disclose the cost of the deal.

According to MTS, Ticketscloud egypt whatsapp resource may become an R&D hub for MTS Entertainment products: the company will operate as a separate division, retaining its current team and operational management - the company's founders Egor Egerev and Katerina Kirillova will also remain in the project.

As the MTS press service noted, the purchase of Ticketscloud was the largest deal on the market in recent years after the purchase of Ticketland and Ponominalu. "MTS is developing the Ticketland and MTS Live ticket windows, which already occupy more than 20% of the market for tickets to theaters, concerts, musicals, children's events and other shows. The deal with Ticketscloud will allow us to significantly increase our share, the number of partners and events on sale," the MTS press service added.

Ticketscloud's revenue in 2022 amounted to more than RUB 200 million, which is almost twice as much as in 2021. The company's net profit in 2022 amounted to almost RUB 80 million.

In 2018, MTS acquired the Ticketland and Ponominalu ticket sales services, and in 2021, MTS merged these services. MTS Entertainment LLC's revenue in 2022 amounted to more than RUB 300 million. Net loss in 2022 amounted to RUB 145 million, and about RUB 100 million a year earlier.

PJSC Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has acquired two Russian ticket operators in the cultural and entertainment events market. MTS bought 100% of MDTZK LLC (Moscow Directorate of Theatre, Concert, Sports and Entertainment Box Offices, brand Ticketland.ru) for RUB 3.25 billion and a 78.2% stake in Cubichall, the 100% owner of Kulturnaya Sluzhba LLC (brand Ponominalu.ru), for RUB 495 million. By purchasing companies that account for a quarter of the ticket market for cultural events in Russia, MTS aims to become a leading player in it.

PJSC VimpelCom (brand Beeline) did not comment on the MTS deal. The press service of PJSC MegaFon told a ComNews correspondent that MegaFon is developing an ecosystem by integrating partner products into it: "We adhere to an open approach and are ready to offer subscribers partner services."

The press service of T2 Mobile LLC (Tele2) noted that, unlike MTS, Tele2 is developing its product portfolio through a flexible system of partnerships with key players, rather than through asset purchases: "This solution allows us to provide a wide range of offers and bring new services to the market in the shortest possible time without a significant increase in capital expenditures. Based on mutually beneficial cooperation, Tele2 has a "More" program, which includes discounts for clients from partners, and a MiXX subscription, which can be used by both Tele2 subscribers and clients of other operators."

From September 4, 2023, Tele2 is relaunching a service that allows you to spend your accumulated minutes on museum tickets. "Tele2 is expanding the geography of the project to make it possible to visit museums in seven cities at once - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk and Tula," the press service added.

Maxim Savvatin, an analyst at iKS-Consulting, noted that the trend of creating an ecosystem of digital services around operators has been evident for several years now, but MTS has advanced the most: it has made this part of its strategy. "It is difficult to talk about the success of this approach, but MTS's entry into new segments certainly increases competition in them among traditional players," he believes.

Leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin noted that MTS is an ecosystem player, like Sber, Tinkoff, Yandex - when different services are developed within the framework of one product. "The most valuable thing that MTS has is about 80 million subscribers, so they can sell them everything that they use: MTS Live, MTS pay, MTS Cashback, etc. It is important for MTS to become a major player in the market by offering everything and for everyone," Eldar Murtazin believes.
