Lack of real-time information

Post by Ehsanuls55 »

One of the most common misconceptions about ChatGPT is that it is an all-seeing, all-knowing Internet wizard. (Spoiler alert: it is not.)

For free users, ChatGPT does not browse the web at all . Instead, it relies entirely on your training data (last updated in 2023).

However, things are different for those with a paid subscription. In May 2023, OpenAI introduced a web browsing feature for ChatGPT Plus, Teams, and Enterprise users.

2. Limited understanding of the context
ChatGPT (and many other popular AI models) still has a major blind spot that even the smartest models can't figure out: context.

Specifically, it has trouble with nuances like sarcasm, humor, or irony. If you make a sarcastic chief vp sales marketing officers email list comment, don't expect a witty response from ChatGPT: you'll probably get the digital equivalent of a blank stare.

ChatGPT also has difficulty keeping track of long conversations and may not remember instructions from previous messages. It also struggles to produce long, well-structured content and code, and frequently repeats phrases to increase the word count.

3. Inability to verify information
Here's another problem with ChatGPT's inconsistent internet access: its inability to check facts or verify information. Essentially, if it gives you an answer that seems even slightly off, you'll have to double-check it yourself.

Due to ChatGPT's knowledge limitations , you may find that it doesn't hit the nail on the head when you dive into more complex or specialized topics.

In such specific cases, ChatGPT can give you a superficial summary; sometimes, that summary can even be a little confusing as to the facts.
