Digital Attaché of the Trade Mission of Russia in Vietnam Artem Korenevsky singled out the financial sector and tourism among promising industries, where the growth rates are the highest. He gave an example of the development of fintech, the penetration of which is growing literally before our eyes: if until recently Vietnam was a country where cash dominated, now you can pay using a mobile application in any store or market, even in rural areas. As Artem Korenevsky emphasized, it is in these industries that the highest budgets for digitalization are. According to his assessment, the Vietnamese financial sector is interested in Russian solutions in the field of cybersecurity, fraud management and credit conveyor automation systems. However, Artem Korenevsky warned about the high level of competition from regional and international players.

Another promising area where Russian solutions may be in demand, according to the Russian digital attaché in Vietnam, are smart city systems. This segment is also growing rapidly. Artem Korenevsky gave a forecast according to which the market volume for solutions in this area in Vietnam will exceed $1 billion by 2028. According to his assessment, Russian developments will be in demand in such segments as broadband infrastructure, intelligent transport systems, and security equipment.

At the same time, as Artem Korenevsky warned, this market is very competitive, and the largest regional and international companies are actively participating in smart city projects. Plus, he warned that entry into the smart city market should be through local large players, and not government bodies, whether central or at the city (provincial) level.
