Google post is a tool launched by Google My Business for quick and prominent posts in the SERP. Learn how to use it!
The tool was tested during the US presidential election and it took some time until Google finally made an official announcement regarding the functionality.
According to Google community manager Marissa Nordahl, the feature is intended to allow businesses to provide important and quick information about their services.
Although it is not available to everyone – Google requires anyone to fill out a form to apply for the feature – Post is a resource with a lot of potential for advertisers.

How does it work?
Each post is made up of three elements:
A short text: make an attractive, short text that shows the subject to be addressed;
Image, video or gif: use an attractive visual element that matches your business;
Link to other content: Create links to an article or to your site so that the person can obtain more information related to the topic discussed in the post.
