Advertising options: upload your own email database

Post by Bappy32 »

If there is one thing that has taken a prominent role in our society, it is Facebook. The medium, which is now ten years old, is actively used by 760 million users every day. There is a constant stream of news about Facebook in the media, both positive and negative. Facebook remains a popular theme during events and conferences. Sometimes it seems as if everyone is a Facebook specialist.

Facebook in practice
I am constantly talking to entrepreneurs from many different sectors. And anyone who thinks that Facebook is a piece of cake for everyone is wrong. Of course, every entrepreneur knows the social network. And many entrepreneurs use it, both privately and professionally. But the questions that keep coming back indicate that it is not at all obvious how to optimally use Facebook as a marketing tool.

The interactivity is sometimes hard to find
As with other social media, a Facebook page is often created because a company simply has to have a Facebook page. Without a real objective, many companies do not post good content or use it only as a broadcast medium. Interactivity is then hard to find. It is then media instead of 'social' media, which means that involvement of the target group is absent. This involvement is precisely what is needed to create a community.

'Visit our Facebook page'
The following practical example is one that I regularly encounter. Out of respect for the client, I will not mention a name, but every Dutch person or perhaps even every European knows the brand. On the homepage there was a line of text: 'Visit our Facebook page'. By clicking on this, I unfortunately did not end up on the Facebook page of this brand, but simply on Facebook.com. Since I was logged in, I was shown my own Facebook homepage.

In the end I looked up the brand in the search field of Facebook. I found it there, but unfortunately set up as a personal page. So I will first have to become friends with the brand to be able to see the content. Not handy for findability in Google. And certainly not handy for keeping track of the statistics in Facebook to see if the right target group is being reached.

Entrepreneurs and Facebook
It is remarkable that a subject about which there is so much discussion and about which there are still so many questions has not yet been published in a book. A book that explains in understandable language how you can use Facebook as an entrepreneur. No long, complicated marketing texts, but a step-by-step explanation in which all possibilities are discussed. Fortunately, social media expert Corinne Keijzer took the initiative to write such a book. Facebook for entrepreneurs, from the series 'discover quickly' is now available as an e-book and will soon also be published as a paperback.

The book can be read in 90 minutes. But if you want to apply the explanation yourself belize mobile phone number list it will take a little longer. Corinne discusses the following relevant topics:

Setting up a business page;
Creating interaction and reach;
Correctly handling complaints and questions (webcare);
Making the page successful with Facebook marketing;
Increase your reach and followers through advertising;
and operation of the administration panel.
Types of Facebook Business Pages

Applicable to every entrepreneur
The book is applicable to every entrepreneur. The applications are described for all subjects. After all, there are quite a few essential differences between the types of company pages. For example, some companies want to attract visitors to a physical point of sale, while that is not relevant for another brand.

The book contains many practical tips for Facebook's advertising options. For example, few companies will know that you can upload an existing email database, so that the advertisements are shown to those people in any case. Anyone who has been sending newsletters to customers for a long time can effectively advertise to existing (potential) customers in this way. A side note here is that the email address from your own database must also be the email address with which that person is registered with Facebook.
