Evaluate Search Intent
Search intent is the goal that motivates a user's search. It is arguably the most important factor that influences your keyword ranking.

More precisely :

What is the intent of the keyword you are targeting? And does your content meet that search intent?


Navigational . The Internet user is searching for a specific website.
Informational . The Internet user wants to know more about a subject.
Commercial investigation . The Internet user wants to know more about a product or service that he could buy.
Transactional . The Internet user wants to make a purchase.

Here are some ways to find out:

If it's an informational keyword , have you provided in-depth and specific information to answer the query?
If it's transactional , have you given the user a way to purchase the product or service they're interested in?
If the intent is commercial , have you provided complete information about the product or service that the user wanted to know about?
And if the intent is navigational , have you provided access to the specific web page the user wanted to access?
You may need to rework the page you want to rank to match the user's search intent.
