As you can see, this graph depicts the performance of a set of pop-ups during December 2018. There are a few things to learn here – and I recommend taking a similar detective approach to your own pop-ups (in an ETL Pipeline ) to really understand what your data is telling you.
For starters, you’ll notice that conversions drop off towards the end of the month. Right around December 22nd, there’s a significant drop in conversions.
Looking at the data, this is certainly something to investigate. Anytime you see a variation from the normal trend, you want to take note and think about what might be going on.
In this case, the variation – the drop in conversions – occurred from europe cell phone number list December 22 to December 25. Given the proximity to Christmas, it seems pretty clear that this drop was due to people taking time off from work to spend time with their families.
Another aspect of the data that caught our attention was the periodic dips and spikes that seemed to occur evenly (notice the first three spikes!). By matching the dates to the days of the week, we saw that these spikes in conversions aligned with weekdays and that the dips in conversions occurred during the weekends. Just by looking at the trends in our analytics, we discovered a couple of things – 1) our target audience is less likely to engage with our site during the holidays, and 2) our target audience is most active during the weekdays.
