Residents meeting live

Post by Bappy11 »

The advantage of a chat with multiple participants is that residents can complement each other and see which locations are being reported. This prevents double notifications. As a municipality, you can also immediately show all participants what you do with the notifications. This way, you make optimal use of this latest functionality that Instagram offers.

3. Live broadcasting
A possibility that has been around for a while, but can be used even more often: live broadcasting via Facebook and Instagram. But what exactly are the advantages of this?

Live videos are highly valued by algorithms and therefore quickly appear at the top of your target audience's timeline as soon as they open Facebook. On Instagram, the live function is part of Stories, which are distinguished from regular Stories by the designation 'live'.
For both Facebook and Instagram, you can save the live video after it has ended and put it on your timeline (Facebook) or in your story (Instagram). This way, fans who are unable to watch live can still play the video and see in real time which questions were asked at which point in the video.
It depends a bit on your personal settings, but a part of your fans will receive a notification when you start a live broadcast. This gives them the possibility to tune in with one finger. This way you can reach a large group of fans right away.
Our advice is to prepare a live broadcast well in advance. What do you want to show? Who do you want to speak? phone number library What do you expect from the viewer? And switch on at the right time. If you start a live video and nothing happens for the first few minutes, a large part of the viewers will drop out. In any case, clearly indicate in the description what the live video is about.

Here too the question arises: when do you use such a live video as a municipality? Have you ever thought about broadcasting a residents' meeting live? In this way, you also give people who are unable to come to a room the opportunity to participate. Invite them to ask questions and let the alderman or project leader answer the questions between the questions from those present. And what about an 'aftertalk'? Consider the meeting together with the viewer. First, let the alderman tell what he or she thought of the evening. What stood out and what will the municipality work on? In the meantime, the viewers are given every opportunity to ask a question about the follow-up actions, or to say what they thought of the meeting. See here a wonderful connection between the offline and online world, with maximum participation opportunities for everyone. And oh yes, prevent a lame arm by using a tripod, plug in an extra microphone if necessary and ensure a stable internet connection.

Keep us posted!
We hope to have given you some inspiration to get the most out of the possibilities of social media. The important message is: just try it and discover along the way what works for your municipality. There must certainly be topics for which you can use these possibilities. Will you keep us informed about your experiences? Good luck!
