The Law of the Russian Federation of July 31, 2020 No. 259-FZ obliges citizens to send information about receiving digital currency to the tax authority.

Russians engaged in digital currency mining must report to the hong kong mobile database authorized body on the mined currency no later than the 20th day of the month following the month in which the digital currency was received.

The taxpayer's personal account now has a function that helps send information about receiving digital currency to the tax authority.

The new functionality will be available when logging into your personal accounts using a qualified electronic signature.

To submit information about the mined currency, it is necessary to fill out a form depending on the legal status of the taxpayer:

in the personal account of an individual - in the "Mining" section;
in the legal entity’s personal account - in the “Digital currency mining” section;
in the personal account of an individual entrepreneur - in the section "Mining digital currency".
It should be noted that legal entities and individual entrepreneurs will be able to send information about the mined currency to the tax authority if they are included in the Register of Miners and Operators. This must be done in accordance with the provisions of the Law "On Digital Financial Assets". Individuals do not need to do this if they are engaged in mining, using electricity no more than 6 thousand kWh per month.

Let us recall that the miners' registry has been operating in the Russian Federation since November 1, 2024. Registration in it is carried out through the MiningRegistry service on the FTS website.
