I take the example of a person I often quote

Post by jrineakter »

In fact, the idea here is more to play, in quotes, in a pictorial way, by choosing inspiring personalities who, in the long term, can help me develop in all the major areas of life. Once again, I think of health, food, education, spirituality, social aspects. It's really something that inspires me. So, there you go, maybe on your side, this idea could be useful to you. And I think that at the beginning of this year, I'm really going to build my ministry in a stable way.

Again, we talked about it last week in this episode about the biggest mistake we make , we have to look for stability and avoid the shiny object. So, it is clear that the ministers that I will choose are all people who have passed away, because they have stood the test of time. I talked about it last week too, but that's it, it's not someone who has done a great thing for a few years, it will be someone who has inspired through their thinking, through their philosophy, through their teachings, who has inspired through the decades, even the centuries. So, I will avoid the shiny object.

And this is perhaps a final warning that I give to myself in establishing my ministry, but that I also give to you who are listening to me, is that you have to be very careful about what you read or listen to. There are people who do not do it voluntarily, but who give dangerous advice. And you have to be very careful about that. So, I prefer to focus on a few people. I will have a small ministry, very tight, a few people, but who will help me in a profound way with basic values. That is why it is a very personal exercise. You really have to define what the values are, what I want to see in this person. These basic values will be based on our beliefs, on our religion, on our philosophy, on our psychology. And that is very personal, so you have to take the time to study it. You have to look at what these people have done in their lives, because sometimes people preach one thing, but live another way.

Ryan Holiday, who has great writings and whose writings I really appreciate, especially his work on stoicism. Daily Stoic is a masterpiece, I think, for example, but I really liked a lot of his other iran whatsapp number data books. Having followed him for a while on the networks, we realize that he doesn't live quite as he preaches. He has a stoic philosophy, he preaches stoicism, understanding others, etc., but he was very critical and he had very harsh judgments during, for example, the Covid pandemic, etc.

So, we really have to make sure, as much as possible, that the people we follow have really lived according to their principles. And it's very, very complicated, especially with people who have been dead for a long time.

I think, for example, imagine the scandal that there was... linked to Abbé Pierre, who was one of the favorite personalities of the French, who created the Emmaüs, who was a very spiritual person. And I think that it is more than 20 years after his death, we realize that he abused young women. 'Well, it's something incomprehensible. And there is in fact a huge gap between the person who was public, the person as we imagined him. And I listened no later than last summer to one of his audio books that inspired me a lot. So, he said things that touched me, but he acted in a different way.

So, you have to be wary of that. And I think we can try, even if we can try to be inspired by everyone, we really have to, in my opinion, use a filter and be inspired by those who share our values.

So, that's what I wanted to tell you today. You can tell me in the comments or by email or whatever, contact me wherever you want, on the networks, by email, etc. or if you are a member of the academy, we can write to each other directly. I would love to know what you think of this idea, if you intend to build a ministry. And I would love for you to share your ministries with me. And I will probably have the opportunity to share mine in a future episode during this year 2025.

Thanks for following me. And don't forget to go take a look at the presentation page of the Authentic French Academy. Even if you don't join the academy, at least go see the content, because it's something that can help you, I'm sure of it. We built the academy in 2016, so it's also starting to stand the test of time. And it wouldn't still be here and very strong in 2025 if it hadn't helped so many people over the years. So, go check it out. We've actually put everything you need there, within the same platform, to progress in French.
