Modern receivers and many soundbars now also offer audio streaming via Bluetooth, which was not even intended in the HDMI world. The following scenario is now conceivable: After pairing once, the soundbar recognizes that the smartphone wants to connect. The soundbar now switches from standby or from another input to Bluetooth. The television then receives the signal "A source is active" via HDMI (and only here) and switches on if necessary. It basically assumes america rcs data that it is an image source. If the television is to remain dark during Bluetooth operation, the only options are to forego source detection altogether or simply switch the television off manually.

Satellite receivers that also receive radio also switch the TV off by signaling that they are off or by sending a screen saver or the station data. However, we have not yet come across a soundbar that does this in our tests.
