SRF: You have been searching for the suspected perpetrator of the chainsaw attack since yesterday. What is the current situation?
Cindy Beer: The perpetrator is still on the run. We are searching for him with a large contingent, also with the support of other cantonal police forces and our German colleagues. Beer: We still assume that the perpetrator is armed. He is a man who attacked people with a chainsaw. We classify him as very dangerous. Accordingly, we ask the public not to go near this person if they see him, but to immediately alert the police.
