Examples of Ecosystems in the Economy

Post by suchona.kani.z »

According to Wikipedia, it is defined as follows: "Ecosystem (ancient Greek οἶκος oikós 'house' and σύστημα sýstema 'that which is put together', 'that which is connected') is a technical term in ecological science. An ecosystem consists of a community of organisms of several species (biocenosis) and their inanimate environment, which is referred to as a living space, habitat or biotope." Forests or seas represent natural ecosystems, artificial ecosystems are created by humans. These can be planted forests or even cities.

In the course of digitalization, the term ecosystem has been transferred to companies and people. In this context, Wikipedia defines it as follows:

"An ecosystem in the economic sense describes a network of companies (typically three to around ten) that are aligned by an orchestrator towards a common value creation. From the customer's perspective, the performance of the entire ecosystem exceeds the sum of the individual contributions of all participants."

An ecosystem is nothing more than a type of network in which poland consumer email list several actors provide services and their networking generates added value for certain life situations of a person. The mere coexistence of services on a platform is therefore not an ecosystem because the crucial point of "added value through networking of the various services" is missing.

There are a number of ecosystems, even in Germany, that do not bear the name ecosystem. One example is the Amazon Marketplace. Companies can offer goods on the marketplace that are also offered in the Amazon store. This is not immediately obvious to buyers, as the marketplace primarily focuses on the availability of goods. Amazon earns money either from its own product or from a commission. The individual product provider is satisfied with the sale of the product, regardless of how this occurs. The added value for buyers is clear - on the one hand, the goods are available and on the other hand, they do not have to search on various platforms. The purchase is always completed in the same way, regardless of the provider. Other examples of well-known ecosystems are Alibaba, Airbnb, mydays, MyHammer and Immoscout, where not only real estate but also appraisals and sample contracts are offered as additional services as well as information on available bandwidths.
