Moving the button on the scroll bar will take you to previous revisions of the post

Switching between post revisionsThe changes made in each revision are highlighted in green and pink color. At the top you can see the user who made these changes, the time and other information.

WordPress also tells you whether a revision is an autosave or a draft.

Restore autosaves as well as revisions
Use the Next and Previous buttons to navigate through the revisions.

Also, you can check the "Compare any two revisions" box at the top. This will split the scroll bar button in two and you can take each button to a different revision and compare the difference between two removed revisions.

WordPress will restore the selected revision as the current post revision, and you can then save it as a draft.

Note that restoring a previous version does not delete the last version of your post. Instead, WordPress stores it in the database as another revision.

Using Post Revisions with the Classic WordPress Editor

If you haven't updated your WordPress to Gutenberg and are still using the classic editor , you can find the post revisions in the publishing meta box on the right side of the post/page editing screen.
