What will tomorrow be made of? An enriched cyberspace…

or player in the evolution of cyberspace with increasingly miniaturized and efficient equipment, the improvement of radio coding techniques and the emergence of new digital applications and services. This has led to the emergence of new services that have since taken an important place in our societies: social networks, web services... Ubiquitous computing with its 5A paradigm (Anything, Anybody, Anywhere, Anyhow, Anytime), the quantity and nature of the data collected, the simplicity in the use of processing and analysis tools obtained by the emergence of machine learning algorithms from Artificial Intelligence, all this is leading to the upheaval of our practices and leading us to rethink our operating methods through the advent of a new science around Big Data.

With the new wealth architect database of infrastructure and services, a new era of communication is opening, the objective being to make objects communicate with each other.

This new type of deployment allows the digital world to be extended to the real world and thus enrich cyberspace. Connected objects, which are beginning to be deployed in all economic sectors, should reach 20 billion units in the very near future (2020). Thus, these infrastructures will allow all the objects we use daily to communicate, whether they are already equipped with computing and processing units, electrical equipment such as household appliances or objects without any electrical or electronic equipment such as clothing.

During this day, the Director of the MBA Big Data Management and Decision-Making Process, Mr. Mellouk, as well as speakers from the CNRS will discuss the performance issues of communications between objects. Indeed, it is important to understand what automation techniques could bring in terms of modeling to improve communications between objects and to have a better use/management of resources. Speakers from the academic world and the industrial world will present the formal tools necessary for the deployment of connected objects.
