Data has become the main asset that many companies treasure. Therefore, the possibility of suffering a cyber attack that exposes this data is a threat that makes all companies and institutions, but also ordinary citizens, stand on end.

And even more so when we know data like this: cybercriminals need just 79 minutes on average to access a company's sensitive information . This means that they are 5 minutes faster than a year ago. And, in some cases, they only need 7 minutes to achieve it.

These are some of the most striking figures from the sixth edition of the 'Annual Threat Report 2023' , prepared by CrowdStrike, which analyses attack trends and the most used techniques.

“When we talk about stopping breaches, we can’t ignore the fact that criminals are getting faster and using tactics intentionally designed to evade traditional detection methods. Security leaders qatar phone data should simply ask their teams if they have the solutions in place to stop a criminal’s lateral movement in under 7 minutes,” said Adam Meyers , Head of Adversary Operations at CrowdStrike.

In addition to the increased speed at which cybercriminals act, Meyers warns of the “increase in the complexity and depth of the tactics and platforms used by criminals, including the abuse of valid credentials to exploit vulnerabilities in the cloud and in various software .”

The study thus warns of a massive increase in identity-based intrusions , the growing specialization of cybercriminals in cloud attacks , and a spike in the use of remote management tools by criminals.
