Advertising across platforms is one of advertisers' favorite ways to showcase and promote their content. Now, data and measurement company Nielsen has decided to show the views of different videos distributed on Facebook , Hulu and YouTube .

In doing so, the company will help publishers better show the ways in which consumers view digital content by providing them with data on how different consumers make decisions when viewing digital content.

This allows platforms to showcase their audiences and give advertisers confidence when promoting and making videos in one way or another. “The inclusion of video content distributed on Facebook, Hulu and YouTube in Nielsen’s digital content ratings is a significant achievement and part of our ongoing commitment to provide the industry with an independent and comprehensive azerbaijan phone number measurement of the evolving consumer landscape,” said Nielsen Chief Product Officer Megan Clarken. “By capturing this audience, Nielsen is providing publishers, agencies and advertisers with a better picture of today’s media consumption, with comparable metrics.”

Advertisers have been positive about the brand. BuzzFeed 's vice president of research and ideas has highlighted that this new tool gives the company a clearer view of its reach on the platform.

Mic president Jonathan Carson said the idea would allow for better tailoring of news to viewers. Tastemade 's director of sales and brand partnerships , Melissa Drucker, called the feature "an important step in global measurement to gain visibility into true reach."

On the other hand, Refinery29 's senior vice president of revenue operations , Bart Boughton, added that having "the ability to quantify platform engagement is critical, benefiting from understanding audiences' routines and sharing important information with our partners."
