Facebook is constantly looking for new ways to connect brands with their users . Now, it's the turn of Facebook's messaging app, Messenger . The messaging platform already has more than one billion monthly users , 100,000 developers and 200,000 bots.
The social network has announced a series of updates that will allow marketers to interact with the app's users. Not only are sponsored messages included , but also additional retargeting features, custom chat plugins , and additional metrics for performance tracking. Marketers will also be able to connect with users through an API to receive breaking news alerts or updates.
