E-learning is a learning method that continues to make its way into the world of education today, so we took the opportunity to continue our interview with José Lozano , President-CEO of AEFOL EXPOELEARNING, SL, the company that has organised, together with IFEMA, the latest editions of the EXPOELEARNING International Congress and Professional Fair. Today we are talking about training, the history of eLearning, how it has evolved over the years in Spain, its advantages and we have even asked him to give us some advice.

How has distance learning evolved in Spain?
We never talk about e-learning, which is the same as saying: distance learning , as if it were second division; the first, the one that counts, is face-to-face and if you can't go to class, you belgium phone data train at a distance. We don't believe in that term and even less in that concept, because technology breaks down distances. Also, when we talk about e-learning, all the professionals in the world understand us. In this case, it's like when we used to say: soccer and no one argues about saying football anymore.

The evolution has been and continues to be spectacular, from there being practically nothing when AEFOL started working in 2001, to seeing how today all the large companies in Spain and around the world use e-learning, which is training that uses technology, which is taught over the Internet.

When was distance learning born?
I boldly explain that the first and oldest distance learning is found in the Bible, especially in the letters of Saint Paul . Throughout history, man has wanted to transmit his knowledge in multiple ways and modalities, but without going into academic depths, the rise of distance learning began at the end of the 19th century and had its greatest expansion in the second half of the 20th century. The company CCC , a clear exponent of distance learning in Spain that has trained more than three million people, has just turned 80 years old and is transforming towards e-learning, like all training companies that want to progress in this new era of learning.

Technology, in its many forms, applied to training, led to the birth of e-learning in Spain in 1995 , which had its cradle years earlier in the United States, when the Pentagon was considering training American soldiers spread across different parts of the world.

Never in the history of mankind has there been a greater revolution in the transmission of knowledge. For me, e-learning has already surpassed the invention of the printing press. People of our generation have been called upon to lead this continuous change.

There has never been another generation that has seen so many changes: I started with the typewriter and Typpex and now I'm into e-learning, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, robotics ... No one has evolved as much and as fast as our baby boom generation!
