Mean Girls and Saturday Night Live feature a lot of familiar faces, and that's undeniable when the movie cuts ties with Saturday Night Live. Fey had been writing on Saturday Night Live for a while when she wrote Mean Girls. The sketch comedy show also gave her the opportunity to appear on screen and test her acting skills.
