Of course, Ukraine needs this law. In fact, it needs the practice of a transparent, understandable lobbying mechanism that works in all civilized countries. But here, as is customary, they not only introduced the concept of lobbying, but distorted it so that it caused only fear in business.

What exactly is bad about this law?

First of all, the one-sidedness of the wording. According to the norms of the project, any specialized association that unites market participants, or a public organization that disagrees with any decision of the authorities and tries to convey its position to them, may be recognized by the NACP as a lobbyist. Accordingly, it must be registered as a lobbyist. Otherwise, the NACP will accuse it of violating the law and impose fines.

Advocacy? Right to protection? Freedom of speech? Forget it.

If this "lobbying for your own" project comes into force, any speeches at public events, information on the Internet or publications on social networks by public figures, opinion leaders, business associations.
