Recruitment challenges
TALENT DAYS: Hi there! We’re excited t phone lists o have the opportunity to talk about your perspective on recruitment and job fairs. Let’s start by talking about your recruitment and employer branding challenges – how does Talent Days help you overcome them?

Kaufland: Hello, we are very happy to share our perspective - one of the main challenges we face during recruitment is adapting requirements to the realities of today's labor market. The tasks that await employees in the headquarters, stores or logistics require skills that cannot be acquired through theoretical learning alone. Our industry is developing dynamically, so we have to quickly adapt to changes. That is why we are looking for people who value challenges. Academic or school knowledge does not always provide the necessary competences. In order to better assess the skills of candidates, we have introduced a catalog of questions for managers. This allows you to determine the required competences and check them in practice, through specific situational tasks (case study), and not just on paper.

Participation in Talent Days is a great opportunity to meet candidates who are focused on challenges and have the necessary competencies. Thanks to their opinions, we are constantly improving our recruitment process, adapting to new needs.

A young team means competences of the future

TALENT DAYS: Mentioning the “needed competencies”, what are your main goals and expectations regarding building teams related to Young Talents?

Kaufland: We attach particular importance to recruiting and employing young talents because they bring unique values to the company, the so-called competences of the future. They have an extraordinary ease of working with modern technologies, are able to work in an international and culturally diverse environment and are open to change. Our goal is not to employ students of specific courses, but people who have predispositions that are important to us, such as entrepreneurship or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge.
