According to Citibanamex , one of the best-established banks in Mexico, Fintechs played a key role in the sector's recovery during and after the pandemic: in two years, the bank's digital version grew by 25%, reaching a total of 8.6 million digital clients of the bank and 1 million clients in the Afore.
These figures, which come from one of the most office 365 database conservative and traditionalist sectors of the branding industry, acknowledge that fintech companies have gained ground in consumer preferences. And yet, in essence, their fintech service largely boils down to linking a personal account to an app.
Added to this is the fact that between June 2020 and June 2021, 50% of sales were made through digital channels.
