Location of screenshots taken with the Print Screen keyboard shortcut

Windows 11 has three built-in methods for taking a screenshot on your device. You can use a keyboard shortcut, access the built-in Snipping Tool app, or use the Xbox Game Bar app to quickly take a screenshot. However, it’s important to note that the location where your screenshots are saved will vary depending on the method you choose.

To help you keep track of your captured images, let's take a closer look at where screenshots are stored using each built-in method in Windows 11.

All screenshots you take by pressing PrtScrthe key or the Windows+ key simultaneously PrtScrare saved in the Screenshots folder on your computer. Here's a quick way to get to the folder.

First, double-click the This PC icon on your uruguay telegram data desktop to open File Explorer. Alternatively, you can also press the Windows+ keys Eon your keyboard at the same time to do this.



After that, click on the Pictures folder located under the Folder section in the File Explorer window to continue.



Then on the next screen, locate and double-click the Screenshots folder to continue.



Now you will be able to see all the screenshots you have taken using the keyboard shortcut PrtScr Windows+ PrtScr.

While screenshots taken with any other native method in Windows are saved directly to disk, screenshots you click with the Snipping Tool are copied to the clipboard, which can then be pasted into Paint or directly pasted into a space that allows you to paste images.
