Looking at other tests will tell me

Post by fomayof928@mowline »

Another difference between my training and reading your doctor's blood work is what I do with your test results. For example, if your cortisol levels are higher at night, I don't just recommend that you take a supplement to lower your cortisol. That's like putting a Band-Aid on an open wound. I want to know why your cortisol levels are high, which is usually because of inflammation. You need cortisol to deal with inflammation, so suppressing cortisol will make your situation worse.

Looking at other tests will tell me why your cortisol is high. It country code philippines list could be parasites, a blood sugar problem, or liver congestion (or all three!). Addressing what's causing your high cortisol is how I help you solve it long term. Your doctor will give you some medication to lower your cortisol and recommend retesting. On the next test, when your cortisol levels are normal, he'll claim everything is back in balance. But you don't feel balanced, and you may even feel worse.

Here is an example of what functional lab testing will tell us. One of my clients, BJ, is 44 years old and has had sleep problems for at least 10 years. He alternates between Trazadone, Xanax, Advil Pm, and tart cherry juice to sleep every night. His only other symptom is seasonal allergies.

He participated in 4 of the tests in my program: GI Mapping, DUTCH Hormone Testing, Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, and Food Sensitivities. When I got his test results back from the lab, I went into detective mode to find out what was keeping him awake.
