A motion has already been submitted to Parliament on this, and the SRG has immediately given in to this demand. I wonder how and by whom this additional data will be interpreted. Who in the Federal Parliament will be able to judge with any expertise what an "efficiently" produced Saturday evening show or an arena should cost?

At what amount does the unnecessary squandering of nigeria rcs data money begin? The key data for the individual departments have already been published in the annual report. But if politicians get involved in the details of program planning, then we really have arrived at state television.

But the mistrust of the SRG is much deeper today. further fueled by the vote that the SRG narrowly won but was unanimously described by the press as a "debacle".

However, a deliberately weakened and frightened SRG is no longer strong enough to defend itself against interventions in content, especially those that are politically motivated. That would be fatal, because an anemic SRG that avoids every conflict for fear of further beatings is a willing victim of attempts at pressure.

And then we would have a complete disaster: virtually non-existent competition in the domestic television market and a frightened, cowardly monopoly. It is quite possible that this would suit certain political groups. But for a vibrant democracy, this would be an absolute no-go for the most important medium of our time.
