Just a stone's throw from Joiz

Monday of this week was a bitter day for the media industry: the youth channel Joiz announced that it was closing down. Even if only a few people watched Joiz, it is still a grim sign. If advertising revenue continues to fall, other media will suffer the same fate. But this is the free market.
Just a stone's throw from the Joiz studios, Swiss television japan rcs data is located in Zurich. Its parent company SRG reported a deficit of 90 million francs last year. While Joiz has to file for bankruptcy, the deep red figures of its fee-financed neighbor are not even causing any particular concern.
It is undisputed that the SRG produces good programs. The only paradox is that, like Joiz, it sees itself primarily as a private company that has to assert itself in the free market economy - against Google, Facebook and, most recently, against Christoph Blocher.
The SRG is defending its position with strong lobbying and even wants to expand it. You can't blame them for this. But this claim may be the main cause of the unease that has built up towards the SRG.
Let's assume that Joiz is organizing a street race against Swiss television. Joiz would be on a scooter and SRG would be on an electric bike. At the first sign of headwind, Joiz would give up. SRG, on the other hand, would demand from the race organizers that they use a Porsche to continue the race.
