To accurately determine the age of a page, check when it was created, and ensure that a particular site was the first to publish certain information, you need to find the exact date the content was published. In some cases, it can be useful to check when the material was last modified. This will help you understand that the information presented on the page is, in fact, current and new.

It should be noted that it is often not so easy to check age.

There are many methods to hide or replace such information, so it can sometimes be very difficult to determine the time of publication of specific content.

Many Internet resources provide information on the date, and sometimes on the time, of the page placement (usually the data is located under the material). It happens that such information is entered into the web address of the page. Some site engines automatically indicate the date of content placement in the web address of the page.

Often, editors of online resources use the term “updated” for edited materials.

When checking the age of a site, you should not always trust the clearly displayed dates of publication of the content. There is no guarantee that this information is reliable. The author or editor of the Internet resource may resort to some tricks. Search engines do not oblige the author or editor to indicate the exact date of publication of the page. This depends primarily on the wishes of the author and site administrators.

What does the age of a website page affect?
The age parameter of pages is one of the points by which search engines rank sites when they are issued on the Internet.

What is demand?

Older sites have a higher percentage of trust among users than younger ones. It's like with people. You're more likely to ask an older person for advice. They'll have more knowledge and experience, too. There's a law on the Internet: pages of sites that have been indexed for a long time are valued higher. If a search engine has to choose between two equally filled pages, preference will be given to the older one.

Unfortunately, promotion for young pages is slow. On average, it takes about half a year to hope for promotion.

Remember: page age and site age are two different concepts. A site may have been online for several years. It may have its own regular audience and stable traffic. However, when a new page is created on this site, the search engine still needs time to start trusting it and promoting it.
