As reported to ComNews by Softline Group, the Inferita data center was built in the science city of Fryazino, where the special economic zone Istok is located. "The new data center is designed to accommodate 500 servers of Inferit Technika's own production. Based on the data center, the vendor will provide both cloud services and services for renting dedicated servers (Dedicated) and services for placing client equipment (Colocation)," the company reports.

Softline noted that the launch of its own data center will allow Inferit to offer customers a full range of services in the field of IT infrastructure based on modern domestic japan whatsapp resource equipment. In addition, the company will provide cloud services from the Inferit Cloud provider with a focus on information security.

at the Inferit production site, the company can ensure quick placement of servers in a rack, prompt replacement of components and configuration changes, as well as round-the-clock technical support and a high level of security.

The Softline press service told ComNews that the Fryazino data center houses high-performance servers of Russian manufacture based on Intel and AMD processors. "We do not use Russian Elbrus or Baikal processors, or Chinese processors. However, if necessary and if there is a request from customers, we are ready to assemble servers on any available platforms," Softline noted.

At the same time, the company representative named its location on its own production site and the prompt replacement of components as the main competitive advantage of its own data center.

According to Softline, the data center is equipped with air conditioning, fire extinguishing systems, backup power supply systems and high-speed Internet access.

The niche is not clear

Market participants producing their own servers and offering solutions based on Russian computing power, interviewed by ComNews, refused to discuss Softline's know-how. One of the companies called it stupid. Another suggested that it was a marketing ploy aimed at attracting users who do not want to service and place purchased servers in racks themselves. "This model of selling servers does not provide any advantages. Equipment manufacturers have a completely different business model," noted a representative of one of the vendors.

The server solutions integrator suggested that a fully Russian data center could be the first sign of a large-scale transition of Russian Internet companies to domestic solutions. "There are no strict requirements from the state for the configuration of data centers, all requirements are limited to the location of the north and its production on the territory of Russia, and which norths are located in neighboring racks is no longer important to the state. It is quite possible that Softline played ahead of the curve and such requirements will appear soon. For example, such solutions may be in demand in the banking sector with the corresponding policy of the Central Bank," the source told ComNews.

In addition, he noted that the processor platforms chosen by Inferit to create servers are much cheaper than Russian ones. "If a server on Intel or AMD costs, for example, 3 million rubles, then exactly the same configuration, but on Baikal processors - already 13-15 million rubles. That is, the difference is multiple. And for non-critical tasks there is no point in overpaying for this," the integrator's representative added.

Leading analyst of Mobile Research Group Eldar Murtazin believes that the services of the new data center will be in demand due to the great need for data storage and processing services. At the same time, he noted that the country that produces the servers that the data center is equipped with is not particularly important.

"Equipment assembled in Russia does not have any obvious advantages or disadvantages compared to Western equipment. If we are talking about Russian equipment, we must understand that servers are assembled on Intel and AMD anyway - there is no way to get away from this. The question is in the profile of the data center - who it serves, what is the service policy, what failure rate is included in such a data center. It depends on the climate control equipment, on the power supply, on power backup and other things. That is, the equipment itself is only one of the blocks that must be considered," Eldar Murtazin told ComNews.

He added that a data center for 500 servers is small, since large data centers have a capacity of several thousand server racks. "This solution has no advantages, servers and data centers are calculated based on consumers, access speed, quality of service, what channels are available, how they will be able to service all this equipment," the analyst concluded.
