The award for the best-established eCommerce both online and offline went to Ametller Origen , the online supermarket that integrates agricultural production, processing and local marketing of its products. It was the winner in this same category in the 2021 edition.
The Ametller family, with eight generations dedicated to growing vines and making wine in Vilafranca del Penedés, decided to diversify their business when the last generation was born. Josep and Jordi, together with their three brothers, began planting a vegetable garden and raising chickens, selling the products at the street market.
Following the death of their father in 2001, the brothers bahamas number data bought a stall in the municipal market of Vilafranca del Penedés, called 'Casa Ametller'. This was the beginning of Ametller Origen. Jordi took charge of the agricultural area, while Josep took care of management and sales. Since then, the group has grown significantly, focusing on quality and sustainability, applying various agricultural techniques and prioritising the sale of local products.
In 2008, they opened their first store in Barcelona to sell all their production, including fruits and vegetables with aesthetic defects. Currently, Ametller Origen has more than 46 stores in Barcelona and more than 120 throughout Catalonia, with an accelerated expansion plan and an annual investment of more than 20 million euros.
