Why think about onboarding?

Post by suchona.kani.z »

I repeat this to clients regularly and we are glad that we are not alone in this. I think that the lecture broadened my perspective and I will be able to explain it to clients better. You can find the entire lecture by Jan Řezáč and Honza Kvasnička on how not to make websites using a qualified view from the window here . They also talk about how not to assign projects , how dangerous domenkology is .

This lecture was the most beneficial for me. It confirmed to me that we do our work meaningfully. At AITOM, we always first analyze and ask what the website should bring before we start developing it. We prepare detailed assignments for clients based on data. I definitely recommend everyone to check out the lecture. By the way, domencology is a new term that amused us all because it is absolutely accurate.

Another interesting lecture was given by Petr Pouchlý . As an expert in gamification, he talked about how to draw users into the game . He spent 40 minutes talking about onboarding – the process of onboarding and adapting an employee, or software user.

For me, this lecture was very much related to the lecture by Jan Řezáč and Jan Kvasnička. It is simply necessary to design a solution that is friendly and, optimally, fun. The fundamental idea was that it is necessary to business owner database map the user's behavior from both a practical and emotional perspective - whether he will be motivated or frustrated. We will now think about how to implement this within our reporting system - it is simple, but basically boring.

For me, the alpha and omega of the entire lecture was this:

Onboarding is a design in itself Testing is the foundation

Most of the lectures I attended were interesting and inspiring. Some talked about technologies we already use in practice, others about technologies we are considering for the future.

There has been a lot of talk about architecture through microservices , where I learned more about the practical consequences of switching to this architecture at the lecture Microservices Architecture by Jiří Riedl .

The lecture on PHP, PSR-7 by Martin Bohal was also very beneficial , where he presented a relatively in-depth presentation of the new standard for PHP, which will soon be used in all PHP frameworks. As every year, Ondřej Žára gave a precise lecture on new features in JavaScript , specifically the ES2017 standard.
The lectures on marketing were also beneficial. Jan Kalianko, in his lecture on marketing automation, showed how automation and elements of artificial intelligence can be used in marketing .
